Divine Mint Dark Chocolate Review

Divine Mint Dark Chocolate Review

IN: Product Reviews: Chocolate March 10, 2013 3:27 pm 0 comments

DivineYesterday I tried for the first time Divine’s fair trade chocolate. I discovered this interesting brand thanks to their first ever Pop Up shop in London, opened to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

As I’m a chocolate passionate and I usually appreciate fair trade products, I bought 6 different chocolate bars to try. I will review some of them, starting with the Divine Mint Dark Chocolate, the one that intrigued me most (I love Chocolate and mint blends).

A few words about Divine

Divine is a fair trade chocolate brand which is 45% owned by the farmers in Africa. You can read the story directly on their website.

You can find their chocolate products in the UK and US. Their claim is “Heavenly chocolate with a heart”.

Lets get into the Chocolate… Divine Mint Dark

I love chocolate and mint together… I’m a big fan of the famous “After Eight”.

Divine’s Mint Dark Chocolate bar has nothing to do with After Eights, but it’s equally surprisingly good! It’s a classic dark and solid thin bar divided into chunks. The freshness of the mint and the sharpness of the dark  chocolate excited my palate as soon as I tried a chunk. A perfect balance! The chocolate is crunchy and the flavours remains in your palate for a couple of minutes, giving you a pleasant feeling.

The packaging is very elegant and encloses the story of the brand.

I had to put it away or I was going to finish the bar in a couple of minutes. I’m looking forward to try the other ones and I’m glad I had the chance to come across this brand.
