Trattoria Mirta: Delicious food in Milan

Trattoria Mirta: Delicious food in Milan

IN: Best Restaurants in Milan March 26, 2013 11:10 pm 0 comments

Trattoria Mirta MilanoMilan is the world’s fashion capital, one of the richest city in Europe and perhaps the most interesting city in Italy for night life and entertainment places. Milano is also full of great food places: lots of trattorie, elegant italian restaurants, ethnic restaurants and more.

Thanks to a friend of mine, I’ve found a little enjoyable trattoria called Trattoria Mirta. It’s a little family managed restaurant that serves typical dishes from Lombardy and other delectable dishes made from the best fresh and seasonal ingredients.

I ate at Trattoria Mirta many times, always at lunch. Usually lunch time is very busy and sometimes you have to wait to be seated, but trust me, it’s worth it.

The last time I’ve visited the place I had a couple of courses:

A very healthy vegetable dish as a Starter; Sautéed mixed vegetables of the day, and a very particular Primo; Egg pasta with a sauce of broccoli, anchovies, garlic and red pepper.

The vegetables were crispy, fresh and tasty. Simply cooked perfectly.

The pasta was very particular. I enjoyed it, but I have to admit that the garlic did its job with my breath… and it wasn’t a nice experience, for the rest of the day. Perhaps, next time I will avoid dishes with garlic, especially at lunch time!

In other occasions I had amazing fresh egg pastas, lovely main courses and delicious soups. One of my favourites is their onion soup I had a few months ago. Their menu changes regularly so it’s difficult to eat the same dish twice.

Another thing I like of this trattoria is the bread. It’s homemade and tastes yummy! Have some space for deserts? I’m usually very greedy, so I tried some of their very good ones (actually, all of them are delicious). Try the tiramisù, celestial!

Service

The staff is very nice. Very efficient and friendly. At lunch, I usually eat a couple of dishes in 30 – 45 minutes. Very quick.

Price

Starter + Pasta + Water and service = around 15 €.
