Dark chocolate brownies with coconut and hazelnuts

Brownies with Ice-Cream and Strawberries I love chocolate brownies, especially if they are moist and very chocolaty. Today I tried a new revisited recipe with dark chocolate, coconut powder and hazelnuts.

I served them as a dessert with a delicious Italian ice-cream and strawberries. A great combination in my opinion.

Dark chocolate brownies with coconut and hazelnuts Recipe


  • 200g dark chocolate bar
  • 115g of Butter
  • 30g of Coconut powder
  • 20 of minced Hazelnuts
  • 100g of granulated white sugar
  • 15g of cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 70g of all-purpose flower
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 125g dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C
  2. Melt the dark chocolate bar and butter in a large plexiglas bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder and sugar .
  4. Whisk in the pure vanilla extract and the 3 large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the flour, salt, chocolate chips, coconut powder and the hazelnuts.
  6. Pour your brownie mix into the baking tray, and place in the oven for around 2o minutes. Be careful to not overcook them. The brownies should be slightly springy on the outside but still gooey in the middle.
  7. Cut into chunky squares after cooling it down.
  8. Enjoy!
